About Us
Bay Robotics is a FIRST robotics team that was founded in 2022 by a group of students at the Bay School of San Francisco. Our mission is to remain a student led team that fosters future generations of STEM leaders in a collaborative learning environment.
Each year, we compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition. We have won awards such as the Rookie All-Star Award at the San Francisco Regional in 2022, champions at the Central Valley Regional Championship in 2024, and we have earned our place to compete in the Worlds Robotics Competition twice.
FIRST, For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, is a nonprofit STEM-focused organization that was founded in 1989 by Dean Kamen and Woodie Flower.
FIRST describes what they stand for as: “Under strict rules and limited time and resources, teams of high school students are challenged to build industiral-size robots to play a difficult field game in alliance with other teams, while also fundraising to meet their goals, designing a team “brand,” and advancing respect and appreciation for STEM within the local community.”
